Ozarks National | Coore & Crenshaw | Big Cedar Golf | Branson, MO

“There are so many beautiful spots on this course it's unbelievable. There is a certain atmosphere about this place that we've never seen before.”

Timeless Golf in the Ozarks

Adding to an amazing list of world-class golf courses, Big Cedar Lodge is proud to introduce Ozarks National, Missouri’s first and only golf course designed by architect duo Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. Measuring 7,036 yards from the back tees, the course represents the terrain of the Ozarks with incredible vistas and beautiful views.

The 18-hole layout features challenging carries and a variety of visually appealing approach shots that are highlighted by the native habitat. The course also includes interesting features, such as a 400-foot wooden beam and plank bridge, which connects the tee box and fairway of the 13th hole that stands 60-feet above a flowing creek.

Hole 1 · Par 5

This relatively short par 5 requires a tee shot down the left side of the fairway challenging sand bunkers guarding the left edge to have the best angle to approach the front of the green if a player wishes to go for it in two shots.

Ozarks National Hole 1

Hole 2 · Par 3

A medium length par 3 playing uphill to an elevated green. Wind will be a factor into the green guarded by deep greenside sand bunkers short right and long left.

Ozarks National Hole 2 with a tree in the foreground

Hole 3 · Par 4

A tee shot short just to the right of the left side fairway sand bunker of this short par 4 will provide the best angle of approach into an elevated green protected by greenside sand bunkers left & right.

Ozarks National Hole 3

Hole 4 · Par 4

This ridge top dogleg right par 4 requires an accurate uphill tee shot toward a framing left side fairway bunker to have a good look at the green. The approach into the green is downhill and wind must be taken into consideration.

Hole 5 · Par 4

This short dogleg right par 4 plays downhill over bunkers toward a pair of imposing trees. Keeping the tee shot to the right of the trees is required for a short uphill approach into an elevated green in front of a restored 100+ year old “Stone House” in the background.

Hole 6 · Par 3

A long par three that plays from an elevated tee to a green guarded by bunkers left and right.

Hole 7 · Par 5

This dogleg left par 5 invites bigger hitters to cut off as much as they choose to have a chance to hit the green in two. The safe play is down the right side setting up an easy short iron approach for the 3rd shot into the green.

Hole 7 at Ozarks National

Hole 8 · Par 3

A dramatic par 3 playing over a steep native area requiring a tee shot with good distance control in order to carry deep frontal greenside bunkers and stay short of an imposing bunker behind the green.

Hole 9 · Par 5

This very long dogleg left par 5 requires a conservative tee shot to the right of a large bunker guarding the left side followed by a 2nd shot over bunkers and native areas to set up a short approach into this long narrow green protected by greenside bunkers right and long.

Hole 9 at Ozarks National

Hole 10 · Par 4

The inward nine begins with this sweeping dogleg right uphill par 4. A tee shot down the right center of the fairway challenging a fairway bunker guarding the right side will allow for the best approach angle into this elevated and large green protected by greenside bunkers left and right.

Ozarks National hole 10

Hole 11 · Par 5

A medium length par 5 that will require a tee shot down the right side setting up an uphill 2nd shot also staying right center in the fairway will allow for a short iron approach into this elevated green with greenside bunkers guarding the front right side.

Ozarks National hole 11

Hole 12 · Par 3

This very long par 3 across a steep slope of native grasses into the largest green on the course will demand proper club selection to have the best chance for a birdie or at least two putts for a par.

Hole 12 at Ozarks National

Hole 13 · Par 4

A long dogleg left par 4 that requires a tee shot that must carry a deep ravine and two bunkers to reach the fairway before reaching a flat lie. The long uphill approach into this green must deal with wind and two greenside bunkers protecting the front of the green.

Ozarks National hole 13

Hole 14 · Par 4

This par 4 on a ridgetop creates a vision of a fairway into the sky off the tee but has a large landing area where the green comes into view. Aiming just left of the right side bunkers on the tee shot will allow for the best approach into this large green guarded by several greenside bunkers short, left and long.

Hole 14 at Ozarks National

Hole 15 · Par 4

A medium length par 4 with cross bunkers in the fairway that are easily carried off the tee into a fairly large landing area setting up a short approach into the green protected by greenside bunkers left and long right. Aim your tee shot over the second bunker from the left for the largest landing area.

Ozark National hole 15

Hole 16 · Par 4

This long par 4 requires an accurate tee shot to set up an uphill approach into the elevated green guarded by a deep frontal bunker and greenside bunkers left and right with the 100+ year old “Stone House” in the background. Club selection and wind must be calculated properly to find the center of this green.

Hole 17 · Par 3

A short par 3 with spectacular views plays to the north from an elevated tee. The green is heavily guarded by 4 bunkers and plays downhill and normally down-wind.

Hole 17 at Ozarks National

Hole 18 · Par 4

The finishing par 4 sweeps left to right and has a large landing area off the tee. The long approach to a very elevated green requires excellent club selection to carry a front bunker into another large green. Once on the green, the views are incredible and a great way to enjoy the end of a round of golf in the Ozarks.
